Good best friend questions do two jobs. Some are just fun and get everyone laughing. Others help you find out something new about a person you thought you already knew. This list has both: 105 questions in six groups, from silly would-you-rather choices to deeper questions for a quiet evening.

Would you rather questions for best friends

  1. Would you rather travel to the past or to the future?
  2. Would you rather give up music or give up films?
  3. Would you rather be famous online or rich and unknown?

  18. Would you rather win an argument or keep the peace?
  19. Would you rather relive your best day or skip your worst one?

  11. What did you need more of when you were younger?
  12. What is the kindest thing a stranger has done for you?

  14. What is something small that instantly improves your day?
  15. If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
  16. What does home mean to you?
  17. What is a habit you want to start, and what is stopping you?
  18. Who has influenced you the most, apart from family?
  19. What is a tradition you would like us to start?
  20. Where do you hope we both are in five years?
Go gently. Deep questions work best when both people answer and either person can pass. If a question brings up something hard, it is fine to stop the game and just talk, or to change the subject. For structured conversation prompts without any scoring, try the friendship check-in.
