How the BFF test works
The questions, sharing steps, and scoring rules for Best Friend Game’s free online BFF test.
The game has two roles. The creator chooses answers about themselves. A friend then sees the same questions and tries to match those choices. A “BFF test,” “best friend test,” and “friendship quiz” all refer to this same game here; they are not separate assessments.
1. Make your answer key
Open the home page, select your language, and enter a name or nickname. Answer all ten multiple-choice questions. Your selections become the answer key for the link you share. The online game uses a fixed set of questions; it does not currently let you write or import your own questions.
Choose the closest available answer, even if none is a perfect fit. For example, the food question offers pizza, burger, biryani, and noodles. If your favourite is not listed, pick the option you prefer among those four and explain that choice when you discuss the results.
What the ten questions cover
- Your childhood career choice.
- Your preferred food from the choices shown.
- Your favourite way to spend free time.
- The type of music you prefer.
- How you would describe your personality.
- The app you use most.
- The time of day you feel most active.
- Your preferred weekend activity.
- Which behaviour annoys you.
- What matters most to you among the listed choices.
Some questions ask about preferences; others ask you to choose a broad description. There are no objectively correct answers about your personality. In this game, “correct” means matching the choice you saved.
2. Share the play link
Once your best friend quiz is ready, copy the link from the sharing screen. Paste it into a WhatsApp chat, a private message or a social post of your choice. Friends open that link, enter a name, and play in their browser. They do not need to install the Android app.
Check that you copied the quiz link, rather than the address of your dashboard. A useful invitation is: “I made a short guessing game. Want to try it? No pressure.” Let friends choose whether to participate.
3. Read the score
Each matching answer earns one point. Ten answers produce a score from 0 to 10. If a friend matches seven choices, the result is 7/10, or 70% of the answers in this quiz.
| Answer type | Count | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Matches the saved choice | 7 | 7 |
| Different choice | 3 | 0 |
| Total | 10 | 7/10 |
A 7/10 does not mean a friendship is 70% strong. Guessing, limited answer options, changed preferences, and how recently you discussed a topic all affect the result. Scores from different people's quizzes are not a fair comparison of friendship quality.
Make the result a conversation
Choose one mismatch and ask, “What made you choose that?” You may learn that a friend remembers an older preference or interpreted the question differently. If both of you want to play again, swap roles. Do not use scores to pressure someone, exclude them from a group, or prove how much they care.
Some things are easier to say without a name attached. If you want your friends' honest side after the quiz, share a free anonymous message link and let them send you notes anonymously.
Returning to your quiz
Use the same browser you used to create it. The site uses cookies to remember the creator; clearing browser data or using private browsing can interrupt access. Optional Google sign-in is available for account access. It is not a promise of permanent storage. See help with returning to a quiz before clearing your browser.
Want to write your own questions instead? Use the printable question worksheet for an offline game. For a gathering, follow the group-game rules.
