Name — the name you enter to create or play a quiz
Quiz answers — the answers you submit, stored to calculate scores
Account info (optional) — if you sign in with Google: your name, email, and profile photo
Usage data — pages visited, device type, and general location (country), via Google Analytics

2. How We Use Your Data

To display your quiz results and leaderboard
To allow friends to play your quiz via a shared link
To understand how the site is used so we can improve it
To send push notifications if you opt in (you can turn these off at any time)

3. Cookies & Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may set cookies:

Google Analytics — tracks page visits anonymously. Google's privacy policy
Google Sign-In (Firebase) — used for optional account login. Firebase privacy policy

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Data Retention

Quiz answers and scores are stored as long as your session or account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@bestfriendgame.com.

6. Children's Privacy

Best Friend Game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
